Every time this question is asked, I hestistate a little. It is because Christ's teaching on following him involves denying myself, carrying my cross daily and following him. This is not an easy standard for me to achieve. However, looking at Simon Peter, I am reassured that even with failures, I am still a disciple of Christ. Christ understands human failures and weakness and gives grace to his followers. As a result, they are sustained and can do things according to his will.
